Authorship Question

I do not believe that the man from Stratford wrote all of the plays. It just seems impossible that a man with little education and a background less diverse than other candidates could create all of these plays with such creative and new language. I don't think it really matters who wrote them though because does knowing who really wrote them make any difference. The plays are still the same and people are still going to read them and watch them.

I don't believe that William Shakespeare wrote those plays. We aren't even sure if he was a writer, let alone if he knew how to read or write. The writer of those plays also knew Italy and its customs because they were wrote about in his plays. However, we don't have any record of Shakespeare leaving even England. Also, great writers in that day to be mourned when they died; yet, there is no documentation of that occurring when Shakespeare died. This matters because someone is taking false credit of another's hard work. Whoever wrote these plays deserves credit for writing them.

There is no evidence to say that the man from Stratford could even read or write but a man with no education has creativity too. Because we don't have any evidence that he could read or write or that he went to school doesn't mean that he didn't, its just not known. Why would a man that actually wrote all these plays let another man have all the credit for it? Maybe the man from Stratford did write them and even though only the name is the same, he could have possibly had a creative mind and may have written all this. It matters in a way because if you were that great of a writer you should be known and given the credit for it. On the other hand, they are plays and they will still be read because they are great pieces of literature, not because of what the name of the person who wrote them is or was.

The fact that William Shakespeare did not have an educational background, does not necessarily mean he did not possess the knowledge of reading and writing. During that era, there were female writers who did not have the opportunity to attend school either due to discrimination and yet they were as good and intelligent as the educated males. Regardless if he wasn't to be the real author, then why would the real author give Shakespeare the right to take credit for his work...? Maybe the man from Stratford did indeed write these plays and worked hard to make them be successful. After all it's all in the past, they are all dead anyways. Plus readers don't exactly care about the author, they care about the intensity of the poem or the play.

I do not believe that Shakespeare wrote all the plays he said he did. There is significant proof that shows he was around acting but no actual proof that he could read or write. He is a FAKE a FAKE i say!!! 假的!!!

I think that it makes a lot of sense that William Shakespeare did not write all of the plays, which we now believe are his great literary works. It is known that he wrote his plays in the late 1500's. At that time there were no copyrights to keep him from accidentally receiving credit for plays that may have been written by other great authors around the same time. Evidence shows he probably lacked the education or cultural experience needed to write the plays as well. Overall, it really makes little difference whether he wrote them or not. It is not the author that makes the plays so great, it is the plays themselves. Granted, we do like to admire Shakespeare's "hard work," they are still the same plays. Although that does bring up an even more interesting point, would we still read Shakespeare, if it wasn't written by Shakespeare? In the end, it does not matter. We will probably always read the plays even if they were written by somebody else.

Shakespeare probably didn't write all of his plays, but maybe some of them. Since he was not well educated it's hard to believe he wrote some of the things he did. It doesn't really matter whether or not his did though because we read the plays to see what it was like back in his time, the guy that wrote them doesn't really matter.

I do not believe that the man from Stratford wrote all these plays and poems. First of all, a guy from Stratford did not have strong educational background, but the plays are well-written which would be hard for any high-educational people to write. Secondly, it will have low possibility that a single person can write around 38 perfect plays in such a short period of times. I think it does not matter who wrote the poems and plays. The person or may be people who actually wrote the plays or poems started writing when he or they first published the books. Also, that actual person or people were dead long time ago, so many people do not care about the actual person.

I believe that Shakespeare is the one who wrote those plays. I mean, why not? Mozart composed uncountable great concertos by himself and Eienstein invent the Theory of Relativity. I believe the existance of such person because it is possible. We can never deny the genius of a person merely because it's too incredible. However, nothing can prove either point, whether he did write everything or somebody elses. But undoubtly, those plays are phenomenal and the masterpieces.

I do not believe that the man from Stratford wrote all wrote the plays. However I do believe that one person wrote them all because they were all written in a very similar style. It is very possible that Christopher Marlowe wrote all of these plays. Either way it doesn't really matter because they are all still very famous pieces of written work.

I believe that Shakespeare really wrote all his plays. Even though he did not receive an advance education in literature, he did go to grammar school, where he studied Latin. But if it turns out that Shakespeare did not really wrote these plays, I believe that the popularity of all the plays will definitely decline. Many people read the plays that are assumed to be written by William Shakespeare because they believe that it is actually written by him. But if this is untrue, all these plays will seem less significant in many people's views.

I believe that the man from Stratford wrote the world famous plays because just as there is evidence suggesting that he did not write them, there is also evidencen suggesting that he did. The Earl of Oxford died in 1604 which is before a fair amount of the plays were written. Therefore how is it possible that he is the man who wrote the plays? Unless one would like to argue that the plays are written by multiple authors, some how this does not make any sense seeing as there is a consistent writing style throughout the plays. This is important because Shakespeare is the man who society has believed to have written these plays and it should not be changed now. It should not be a matter of denial. Shakespeare wrote the plays, and that is final, it should be left alone.

I do not believe that the man from Straford wrote those 37 plays. Firstly, he did not receive a proper education. Also, there is no factual evidence that Shakespeare actually wrote all these plays. However, all of this does not really matter because we will never know who actually wrote the plays due to insufficient evidence pertaining to his plays during this time period in England.

It is a bit far fetched for a man who had no experience or background in writing to start this language that would be remembered up until the 21st century. These literary work were written so long ago it is hard to tell who knows the real answer. I believe the man from Stratford didn't write all these plays. I don't think it matters because the work is appreciated world wide and back then everything was fair game.

There is much controversy and conspiracies over this subject. I believe that William Shakespeare did write these great plays. Evidence that supports is the vocabulary and grammar. There was a statistical method done called computational stylistics to analyze his writing. They took his word usage/grammar and other authors of the time and found that there was a common writing with Shakespeare’s works. I believe that he did write them.
It doesn’t really matter who wrote the plays because they are famous literary works. These plays are excellent evidence of the talent that the authors had at this time period. It doesn’t really matter, since we have these great literary works, we can analyze them and perform them but if there is no real author than no one should get credit for the work.

I believe that the man from Stratford did not write these plays. According to Michael Rubbo’s theory, there seems to be a good amount of evidence suggesting that Christopher Marlowe wrote under the name of William Shakespeare. The facts are more than coincidental. Marlowe was born in 1564, the same year as Shakespeare. Also, he was at the peak of his career as an English playwright and poet. Other authors such as Calvin Hoffman explain that Shakespeare and Marlowe’s works are very similar. Hoffman discovered many “parallelisms,” lines and passages from Marlowe’s plays that echoed directly, if not quoted verbatim, in Shakespeare’s. Not only that, since Marlowe was a spy, it seems vague that he was killed over a tavern bill.
On the website, the pictures of Shakespeare and Marlowe are very similar, which suggests further evidence that Marlowe is the true author. I do believe that it matters because Shakespeare is the man who is receiving credit for all of these amazing poems/plays. However, if Christopher Marlowe is in fact the author, he should be rewarded for his talent and not remain hidden forever.

Personally I don't think that Shakespeare wrote all of the plays, but it is no reason to hate him. I believe that he is more important as a symbol than an actual author. It makes no difference if he wrote them or not, what he stands for is important enough.

I believe that there was a man named Willam Shakespeare who wrote most all of the play we know of today. Although some facts may exist proving maybee a group of people or another person wrote the plays, too much time has passed to prove that he did not write them. trying to figure out if a legend one lived and lived up yo what we know him over 400years ago is near impossible. in my book shakespear is still Innocent untill proven Guilty. so i believe he wrote them.

I don't think Shakespeare wrote all these plays even though alot of people think he did. Theres not enough proof to make me believe he did. It doesnt matter who the real author is because either way they're going to be famous peices of literature.

I don't believe William Shakespeare wrote all of the plays. There are too many accounts of Shakespeare being uneducated, and it is questionable whether he could even read or write. For a man to have written all of these plays there should be no question on his education. The amount of irony and use of language is that of an educated person. Having said this, it does not really matter who wrote these plays. Whether or not one man wrote all of them, they are still on paper. The author does not change the words of a book, nor does a playwright change the outcome of a play.
